Today’s Swamps Will Become Coal They Say But How Would Sand Deposits Overlay Gooey Mess?

The uniformitarians say that today’s swamps will become the youngest coal deposits of tomorrow, coal deposits found often within layers of sandstone and shale, so what would cause sand to cover a swamp without that swamp having desiccated long before?

Since a swamp would have dried out before the sands of a supposed desert would have covered it, the sand and clay layers above (and below) what would become coal need have been by water, Noah’s Flood filling the bill.
