    Phoenician Cadmus’ Daughter Semele Brought Osiris Religion to Aegean as Thracian Son Dionysus

    Legendary Osiris of Egypt, the god of fertility, wine, the underworld, and resurrection, was brought to the Hellespont when the Ice Age was ending by the the phoenician Cadmus’ daughter, Semele, Zemelo the earth goddess of Thrace in the centuries which followed, whose son Dionysus was known as the liberator (Eleutheros/Eleusinian mysteries), the god of wine who also conquered death in the underworld the initiates believed.
