Producer Judd Apatow The Year One Movie Jack Black Michael Cera Lazy Hunter Gatherers Biblical Prehistoric Timeline Patriarchs Cain and Abel Garden of Eden Book of Genesis History Screenplay Year One Motion Picture Director Harold Ramis Gene Stupinsky Lee Eisenberg The Office Producers Bible Farce Genesis Account Historical Setting Biblical Times Bronze Age Pre Deluge World Jack Black’s Year One Film Torah Comedy Bible Bashing Hollywood

Jack Black’s new movie, The Year One, is sure to be a big hit, farcically based on the Bible, the early history, with the sons of Adam and Eve, the legendary Cain and Abel, playing roles in the story of Jack Black and Micael Cera as lazy hunter-gatherer characters, cast out of the village for it, roaming thereafter in search of sustenance for little work, surely a humorous theme for a story about supposedly hardworking “neolithic” people, who worked to live, eeking out sustenance crudely, with sticks, stones, and twine.

But in the movie, the royal elites are depicted in palaces of hewn stone, much as it was during the bronze age circa 2000 B.C., with metal weapons and tools, not what supposedly was ongoing in the time of the “hunter gatherers,” who lived supposedly in thatched huts or caves, working with rocks and sticks, not with the sophisticated civil structure and cutting tools necessary for palace building with sculpted stone blocks, as it was during the “bronze age,” and as it was in early Genesis times, the timeframe of the movie, when Tubal Cain was a famous metallurgist, of which the screenwriters Harold Ramis, Gene Stupinsky, and Lee Eisenberg, obviously were well aware when they crafted the movie.

So you can see their intellectual tension in trying to fit biblical history into mainstream scientists’ interpretation of the history of the world, as no doubt, the movie is intended to have taken place within the common interpretion of when Cain and Abel lived, about 6,000 years ago, which actually also puts that timeframe tantalizingly close to the time when mainstream scientists say metallurgy began, about 5,000 years ago, but with Noah’s Flood undoubtedly laughable to the producers and writers of The Year One, who treat Genesis as if it’s a quaint fairytale, they would also mock the Table of Nations in Genesis 10, where the people groups of the post Deluge world are laidout in family trees, the progeny of the eight who survived the Deluge, the eight who were but ten generations from Adam and Eve.

And Noah’s Ark was surveyed in cubits, the same ancient measure used to survey the dimensions of the Great Pyramid of Giza, after the Flood, and the Temple of Solomon circa 1000 B.C., the cubit determined actually by the earth’s wobble rate, at 72 years/degree, see how in article #2 http://IceAgeCivilizations.com, to help you understand that ancient history was not as we are being told in most of our schools, with the archaeology and geology lining up with what the Bible says about ancient history, you can trust it when you bother to investigate, so please do.
