    Tarsus Named for Tarshish Rich Mining Trade District During Ice Age Later Agenor’s Son Cilix Namesake

    During the Ice Age (after Noah’s Flood), Japheth’s grandson Tarshish established Tarsus near the southern slope of the Taurus (bull) mountains, but when the Ice Age had ended circa 1400 b. c., that region became know as Cilicia for Cilix a son of Agenor with his brothers Phoenix and Cadmus who distributed a phonetic alphabet.
