Many Hindus today, their ancestors of the bronze age Indus Valley Civilization, say that this purported Kali Yuga of time began in 3102 B.C., supposedly when old Dwarka, the oceanport of Kush (hindu Krishna), known in the vedic Mahabharata and Puranas as Kususthali, was consumed by the sea, ruins now attested there in the Gulf of Kutch, extensive megalithic ruins of a rivermouth port city, the ruins found down to depths of at least a hundred feet, far from the present day shoreline, obviously submerged since the end of the Ice Age, when sea level rose to consume many other port cities of the so-called bronze age (when iron was produced on a limited scale as well).

On what basis ‘though do the believing Hindus cite their supposedly definitive date for the sea level rise at 3102 B.C. which also consumed cities now in the Gulf of Chambay and off Mahabalipuram of southeast India?  The anciently revered vedic writings don’t mention a date for the beginning of the Kali Yuga, so the now commonly accepted date was obviously settled upon later, by apocalyptic hindu astrologers, seeking a time in the future when the destroyer Kalki would return, seeing that the winter solstice location on the horizon would appear in the middle of the Milky Way at around 2010 (now considered Dec. 21, 2012), they set the beginning of the Kali Yuga at 1/5th of a precession cycle (see article #2 at http://IceAgeCivilizations.com) before that auspicious future time of noteworthy galactic alignment, now when the winter solstice point on the horizon is in the center of the Milky Way, the heavenly river mythology.

Certainly noteworthy here is that the much ballyhooed Mayan end-of-the-world calculation is also based upon the functioning of the World Tree (the Tula), again the concept of precession time passed down by the Olmecs, coincidentally 1/5th of a precession cycle, this purported mayan “Sun” of time having begun at 3114 B.C., counted back from the Dec 21th (or 23rd) date in 2012, both civilizations, knowing precession, seeing that the people of this current day would see the winter solstice aligned with the Milky Way, important times for astrologers, expecting big changes in the near future, this cosmic alignment which will supposedly govern human activity, worshipping the creation rather than the Creator however, certainly for those a recipe for disaster.

The Hindus of India know better than anybody that the Ice Age did not end circa 10000 B.C., as popularly advertised, because they are well aware of the submerged bronze age megalithic ruins off their coasts, rendering the 3102 B.C. date for the end of the Ice Age (and the submergence of those cities) much more plausible than the darwinists’ now clearly askew reading of ice age history, but not quite there, as the Ice Age actually began to end circa 1500 B.C., comporting with the physical evidence and the vedic record, which mentions nothing of the 3102 B.C. date., so in reality the vedic record comports with the biblical model, that the Ice Age ended at the time of the Exodus of the Jews out of Egypt, when too the legendary egyptian port cities of Menouthis and Heraklion succumbed to the encroaching sea when the Ice Age was ending, when the ocean had cooled, the warmer ocean at the close of Noah’s Flood having been the engine of the Ice Age.
